Oral interpretation:


* Consecutive interpretation (CI)

Consecutive interpreting is a mostly popular mode of interpreting for a speech in which the addressing guest says one or a few sentences 

whilst the interpreter takes notes, then the interpreter reproduces what the speaker has said for the audience; after the interpretation, the 

speaking guest continue. In this way, interpreter is normally standing or sitting close to the speaker, using pad/pen to take notes and using 

the microphone (if there is one) only once the speaker has finished and it is his/her turn to speak.


        Consecutive interpreting mostly works for the opening/closing ceremony of grand event, business negotiation and workshop/training, etc. Normally, interpreter will stand by the side of addressing guest on the stage, delivering the whole speech into target language for the audience.   




* Simultaneous interpretation (SI)


Simultaneous interpreting is a highly-effective mode of interpretation for a speech that the speaker keeps presenting continually and 

the interpreter restructures the contents into the target language for audiences to catch and understand at the same while (or simultaneously); normally, simultaneous interpreters stay in an private professional booth, which is equiped with the professional digital conference network (DCN) system, including the central control unit (CCU), transmitter (with min.2 ~ max. 32 acoustic channels), infared radiator (LBB), console for interpreter to operate, etc. In the conference area, all participants will receive a set of headset with signal receiver. 


Sometimes interpreters may also be using a bidule (portable interpretation equipment without a booth) or whispering (chuchotage) by the side of the participant or speaker in a small-scale meeting, or business negotiation scenario. 


TICA provides the service of SI equipment to the clients with state-of-the-art technology support. In a co-work mode with the client, TICA team will arrange the schedule and assign the site manager to work with venue owner to set up the stage and booth for a smooth opening of the conference.
